Two dual channel FADEC controlled Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306C turbofan engines are installed on the Sovereign. The engine is a 4.4:1 high-bypass ratio, twin spool design with damage resistant wide chord fan. Four axial and one centrifugal compressor stages lead to high efficiency, low emission, through-flow combustor and five turbine stages. Maximum static takeoff thrust at sea level is flat rated to 5,770 pounds (25.67 kN) up to 88°F (31°C). Hydraulically actuated, target-type thrust reversers are attached to each engine.
